The Park Studios is a Providence-based creative studio and media production company built around culture, community, and storytelling. We produce cinematic video, photography, event recaps, interviews, music videos, social content, and promotional media for artists, brands, nonprofits, and community-driven businesses.

Our work sits at the intersection of media production, live events, artist development, and cultural programming. Whether we are documenting a brand activation, producing a performance session, hosting a creative event, or building space for local artists, The Park Studios is focused on making stories feel alive, intentional, and rooted in community.
We are artist-led and Providence-based. That means clients get a production team that understands the people, place, and story behind your project.

Our story
Founded by artists who wanted to build the room, not wait for an invitation.
The Park Studios was founded in Providence by Saulo Castillo and Janay Pina, two artists and cultural workers whose work crossed music, live events, community arts, and creative production. What began as a shared effort to create more room for artists around them grew into an artist-led studio, production company, and cultural platform.
The idea at the center has stayed consistent: artists, especially Black and Brown artists, should not have to choose between professional creative infrastructure and spaces that understand their culture. The Park Studios was built to hold both. Today, Castillo and Pina continue to shape the studio together through media production, artist development, events, and community programming rooted in Providence.

Co-founder
Janay Pina
Filmmaker, videographer, musician, arts programmer, and creative producer whose work centers artists, builds community, and creates thoughtful cultural experiences and opportunities.
Visual Artist & Muralist
Savonnara Sok
Providence-based painter and muralist whose work can be seen throughout the city. At The Park Studios, he helps build sets, shape environments, and create visual experiences that give our projects and events a distinct sense of place.
Writer & Director
Mike Ahern
Writer and director who co-created Underfunded with Saulo Castillo. At The Park Studios, Mike co-writes and co-directs the workplace mockumentary, helping shape its character-driven comedy, story, and screen direction.
